Rhythm Yoga

The word yoga comes from Sanskrit, an ancient Indian language. It is a derivation of the word yuj, which means yoking, as in a team of oxen. In contemporary practice, this is often interpreted as meaning union-MIND, BODY & SOUL.

Traditionally there are different types of yoga: Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. Several new versions have been promoted as yoga for weight loss and toning up like Power Yoga. Each of the traditional variations of yoga has its own health benefits, all the while focusing on building your core, aiding weight loss and connecting the mind with the body and spirit. The poses are a constant, but the approach to them varies depending on the yoga tradition in which the teacher has trained.
